“We can’t help everyone, but everyone can help someone.” In this episode, I reflect on past efforts of spreading aloha in my community and what I’m doing this year. I wasn’t prompted by anyone to do these things, I just felt they needed to be done. During this holiday season, it is not uncommon for all of us to reflect on what we are thankful for, but we should also find ways to give back for no other reason than we simply need more aloha in the world.
I’m excited to partner with Revival Fitness to organize a donation drive for a cause near and dear to my heart: saving local dog and cat lives within our community. In coordination with the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) of Anne Arundel County, I’ve set up this virtual drive called “Happy Paw-lidays” (you know I can’t resist a good pun) to collect donations to help our local dogs and cats in need during this holiday season. The SPCA of Anne Arundel County solely relies on the generosity of the community for the funding necessary to care for thousands of animals throughout the year. With your help, we are saving the lives of those who need us the most. Without compassionate individuals like you, this life-saving program wouldn’t be possible.
While the season can be bright and loving for some, others may find these times tough and need the love and aloha from our community to get them through the season. This sentiment is shared by our four-legged companions as well, which is why I believe our Revival Fitness Fam can pool together our support and donate to this worthy cause. As a proud owner of a rescue dog for over 9 years, our family has positively benefited from having Sally in our lives and I hope to extend that same chance to as many dogs and cats we can help. Just look at this beautiful girl!

Here are some examples of how our donations will be used to support local dogs and cats in need:
