The Power of Stories and Staying Connected w/Captain Sabrina Torres and Captain Orlando Cabigas

Don’t be afraid to share it.” In this episode, I interview Captain Sabrina Torres and Captain Orlando Cabrigas, medical officers stationed at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. We talk about their grassroots response to addressing their Airmen’s need to talk about race and discrimination, how they seek to share the human side that we all have in common, and discuss some creative ideas to share our collective stories and strengthen the Air Force community.

Capt Sabrina Torres currently serves as a Medical-Surgical nurse and currentlys serves as Infusions Clinic Element Chief, 673d Inpatient Operations Squardon, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. She is originally from North Carolina, with 3 years of active duty service and plans to pursue Flight Nursing next. 

Capt Orlando Cabigas is an Emergency Depart Nurse by trade and currently serves as Executive Officer, 673d Healthcare Operations Squadron, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. He is originally from the Philippines, with 3 years of active duty service and plans to pursue Flight Nursing next. Near future goals of becoming a White House Nurse or a Surgeon General Exec. Long term goals of taking a leadership role in the flight, squadron, group, and beyond.
